While conducting research for our family tree, we have
identified several websites that have been very useful in our quest to locate branches on our family tree. Some sites
tend to be specific to a certain ethnicity or demographic or geographic area. In comparison, the information available
for genealogy research, on the web, pertaining to Hawaiian ancestry, is very limited.
Nothing beats having the ability to hand-search official
records and images in an archive. The internet is fast becoming the second best method. In most cases, its
faster and cheaper.
This page lists several genealogy research-based links,
which have been helpful in our quest to locate branches on our Hawaiian-Filipino family tree:

Ancestry.com - We used this subscription site, which provides an excellent source for historical document images,
such as U.S. Census images. See Census images in "Our Heritage" section of site. The ability to see actual
U.S. Census documents was invaluable to confirm family history passed down verbally or written in notes, such as family Bibles.
(See link below)
Cyndislist.com - Hawaii -
Proved to be an excellent resource. Possibly the best free resource for those
searching for Hawaiian ancestry information. http://www.cyndislist.com/hi.htm
Family Search.org -
This site is maintained by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
The site is another excellent research tool, which provides a great deal of genealogical information. This website used
in conjunction with Ancestry.com provides a powerful research tool. If it was recorded, more than likely you will find
it here: http://www.familysearch.org
Hawaii Headstone Gallery - A photo gallery of Hawaii headstones and cemeteries. Includes
Hawaii Burial Data Records. This is an excellent resource for source data and photographic images. Also,
a great resource for those researching their Hawaiian roots from abroad. Frequent updates.
Hawaiian-Roots.com
- This site provides a nice easy-to-read historical overview of Hawaiian history,
as well as many great research tips and information on Hawaiian genealogy: http://www.hawaiian-roots.com
